At Wil-Tin Music, it hasn't always been about big teams on big projects. While teamwork is fantastic with the right people and resources, what do you do when you have good ideas but no budget or help?
In the beginning, it was just me, myself, and I piecing things together to drive projects and events to the finish line. After years of tedious struggle, I learned a crucial lesson: there is a better way.
Yes, I wore different hats and tried to do it myself. Though sometimes rewarding, the process was long, tedious and exhausting. I've since learned the importance of time management, planning, acquiring good resources, and team support. Never launch without sufficient time, a committed team, adequate budget and backup reserves.
As Executive Director, I've learned to keep the big picture in view at all times and resist the temptation to do everything me, myself and I. Good leadership means never leaving harbor without a good crew.
